Set your alarm for before dawn and pack a thermos of coffee, fresh pastries, and fruit in a basket. Find a rooftop parking garage or accessible building with an eastern view.

Spread out a blanket and watch the city wake up as the sunrise paints the sky. Share your breakfast slowly, noting how the light changes the colors of the buildings around you.

Take a golden hour photo together and make a promise about something you'll do before the next sunrise you share. Walk to a nearby diner for a second, more substantial breakfast if you're still hungry.

Find a food truck gathering or street food area in your city. Create a silly rule for choosing trucks like 'the one with the most creative name' or 'whatever the person in front of us orders.'

Order from three different trucks, getting small portions so you can try variety. Rate each dish out of 10 and create elaborate, ridiculous food critic reviews for each other's benefit.

Crown a winner and take a photo with the winning food truck. Follow your favorites on social media and make a pact to try a new cuisine together each month.
